About Jarrah Honey

Jarrah honey is sourced from the Jarrah tree that grows only in the primary forest reserve of south-west corner of Western Australia. The region has a typical Mediterranean climate, with sunny weather and a long period of sunshine, influenced by Antarctic winds, and pure air, free from acid rain and industrial pollution. Even in winter, the bees there do not need to be kept in captivity.

About Jarrah Honey

Jarrah, also known as red eucalyptus, is a magnificent and tall wood species that can grow to a height of 40 meters, grow slowly, live to more than 1,000 years, and can withstand severe forest fires.

· Biennial flowering

Due to environmental conditions, the buds of the jarrah tree take two years to bloom. The amount of honey produced is relatively small and the quantity is quite rare. In late spring and early summer, wild bees can always be seen in the dense bushes collecting the abundant nectar.

About Jarrah Honey

Jarrah honey is known for its high fructose content and low glucose (occurring only in pure natural jarrah flowers), the texture of jarrah honey is very viscous, dark in colour, and has a rich, caramel-like taste.

It is worth mentioning that fructose is one of the safest and healthiest sugars known in the world. The metabolism of fructose does not depend on insulin, but is naturally digested and absorbed by the human body.

Premium Jarrah honey undergoes laboratory tests its Total Activity (TA), which means it deserves its super honey status. Jarrah honey is also known as Australia's healing honey.
